Extra-Fine Colourful Woven Planter Baskets
So popular are our Extra-Fine Natural Woven Planter Baskets and Unique Woven Planter Baskets that we were able to place an order for a third basket collection from this exceptional Kenyan weaving group. This is a group we’re especially close to and have worked with them since The Basket Room began in 2014.
The Extra-Fine Colourful Woven Planter Baskets baskets are produced using the ultra-fine weave and traditional patterns seen in the Extra-Fine woven baskets, and the variety and depth of colour that characterises the Unique Woven Planters.
These unique baskets are hand woven from indigenous sisal grass in rural Kenya by women working as part an incredibly creative weaving group. These basket weavers enjoy complete artistic freedom to select the patterns and colours that best showcase their own exceptional talents, empowered by the pay and the flexibility that basket weaving brings. Each basket is her own work of art before it becomes yours and there is only one of each design available.
Produced in a range of sizes, these colourful baskets can be used as planters and flower pots, desk tidies and fruit bowls - and as storage baskets for toys and blankets, firewood, stationery, slippers, knitting, mess, laundry – you name it!
