Fireside Baskets For Your Wood & Woollies
Autumn is a season we love at The Basket Room, as we prepare our nests for the coming months and make our homes cosy & snug. The empty log pile is beginning to fill up once again and the last of the tomato crop is turning as we plant our Spring bulbs.

Celebrating the legacy and vision of Kenya's late Nobel Prize Winner, Wangari Maathai
Wangari Maathai was the founder of the Green Belt Movement, an environmental non-governmental organization focused on the planting of trees, environmental conservation, and women's rights. Helter Skelter, Sunshine & Dizzie Rascal - The Big Feastival!
Set in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, just over the valley from The Basket Room HQ was a feast of food, rides & sunshine. The last weekend in August saw flocks of people fill Alex James' farm for a slice of festival life with Jamie Oliver, Dizzie Rascal & Alex's famous cheese.

A Quiet Bathroom
Bathrooms can have a special, calming atmosphere, once you close that door behind you, the space becomes yours, yours to breathe in deeply and let out slowly. A place for meditative stillness, relaxation and a bit of me time.

Cultural Connections - The Basket Room travels to Kenya
When we launched The Basket Room seven months ago, we set off on a journey that held mystery, adventure and hard work in store. A journey with roots going back to 2007, when Camilla and Holly met at Art College studying Fashion. As our paths crossed again six years later, The Basket Room was organically born out of a combined passion for ethical design, handicrafts and culture. Now, we are about to embark on one of our most challenging and exciting chapters so far: we are traveling to Kenya to meet, work and stay with the weaving co-operatives.
Celebrating Fatherhood
From a young age, we remember making cards for our Dad at school, creating clay pots from the local pond and decorating pebbles found on the beach. Each year, on this one day we would make it a day for Dad, to do something as a family and honour him for being our Father.
Festival Season is Upon Us!
The Basket Room is getting into the groove and hitting the festival scene! This Summer we will be taking our woven delights to the fabulous Big Feastival in Kingham, Oxfordshire.
PAMBO PALM - New Collection
At The Basket Room we are always on the hunt for new baskets, so when we came into contact with the weavers of Samburu we immediately fell in love with their creations! These baskets are different from those made by our other groups, they use Doum Palm instead of Sisal, a type of Palm tree that has edible fruits tasting a little like gingerbread!
RIVER COTTAGE - Last Stop On Our Spring Tour
Come join us down at Hugh's farm at River Cottgae HQ this bank holiday weekend for what will be a feast of food, crafts, music & craft beer!
